The spike in COVID- 19 cases all over India and Delhi in particular, has been linked to the recent large religious gathering of the Tabligh – e- Jamaat group.
Over 100 people have been tested positive for COVID – 19 out of those who attended the religious gathering at Tabligh-e-Jamaat’s Markaz in Delhi, Nizamuddin West and the recent seven COVID- 19 positive deaths have been linked to this gathering. A total of 2100 people have been evacuated from the hot spot of infection “Markaz Nizamuddin. “ It is said that 441 people in Delhi have shown symptoms of the coronavirus.
Despite the enforcement of the lock –down over a hundred people had still been staying inside the premises. At least 1,100 people are now quarantined in different parts of Delhi and the mosque has been sealed.
The Centre has disclosed that since January 2100 foreign nationals had visited India regarding Tabliqi activities and their first stop had been the Tabliqi Jamaat Headquarters in Nizamuddin.
In a shocking revelation that has emerged from various parts of India, In Tamil Nadu 50 have tested positive, 24 positive cases have been reported from Delhi, In Telangana there are 21 positive cases , Andhra Pradesh has reported 18, Andamans has reported 10 and Assam and Kashmir have reported 1 each. All these cases had one common link – they had all attended the religious mosque gathering in Delhi, Nizamuddin.
The total number of Coronavirus cases in the country has shown an alarming increase and has risen to 1611 out of which 47 deaths have been reported.
After it came to light that this mosque could be the biggest hotspot for the country and Delhi an FIR has been lodged against the mosque administration and the cleric and a hunt for all those who had attended this gathering and have now travelled back to different parts of the country risking the lives of million others has been undertaken.
