Bollywood and the iconic Kapoor khandan lose another bright star from their sky – the legendry Rishi Kapoor is no more!

The original chocolate boy, the original romantic hero of Bollywood the heartthrob of millions, Rishi Kapoor passed away in a hospital in Mumbai today. The 67 year old actor had been battling cancer for a long time and had also gone to New York for his treatment. Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir Kapoor had informed people yesterday that Rishi was undergoing treatment for cancer and was admitted in hospital yesterday on account of having difficulty in breathing but was said to be stable post admission, however news of his tragic demise shook everybody today. 

The sorrow is deepened considering the fact that this death comes in quick succession of Irrfan Khan’s passing away yesterday. Bollywood now has a deep chasm to fill with the passing away of these two very talented actors.

Rishi Kapoor was known for his no nonsense ways and was candid and open in his views, so much so that he often got into trouble and criticism for his tweets. He is survived by wife Neetu(Singh )  Kapoor, daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir Kapoor.

His friends and co -stars are yet to come to grips with his sudden demise and have expressed shock and grief on their social media platforms

It is indeed ironical that Rishi Kapoor had recently tweeted and expressed solidarity for our frontline heroes and doctors in the COVID – 19 battle and appealed to people to not subject them to violence. His tweet read as below :
