Parties and revelry are welcomed by us and come with fun and amusement, yet one such recent party turned out to be a nightmare for an 18 year old after which he was diagnosed with the dreaded COVID – 19. The eighteen year old boy had attended a party with 3 COVID – 19 positive people in the U.K.

It was revealed by the doctor who is currently treating the boy that his airport screening at the airport upon arrival failed to detect any coronavirus symptoms.
As reported by NDTV after the boy was informed by his friends in the UK that 3 members of the party that he had attended in the UK had tested positive for COVI – 19, his family members chose to inform the hospital.
His swab samples were taken and tested at the National Institute for Cholera and Enteric Diseases, one of which confirmed the Coronavirus infection. After this confirmation quarantine measures were adopted for the boys’ parents and two drivers.
Statistics till 18th March report 147 people infected by Coronavirus with Maharashtra reporting the maximum cases at 45, Kerala 25, and Uttar Pradesh with 15 confirmed cases so far.
It is a matter of grave concern it was noted that the mother of the first coronavirus carrier in Kolkata, Arunima Dey , a senior bureaucrat at the State Home Department, went to her office at the state secretariat Nabanna ,after her son arrived from the U.K and enjoyed liberty of movement without any restriction for two days .
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the other hand has been propagating precautionary emergency measures for the well being of the general public and issuing warnings on safety in the recent Coronavirus infected environment . After it was known that Dey’s son was tested positive for COVID – 19 , all the areas where she had last been including her office which was locked up and the places where she had attended meetings with senior officials was disinfected and sanitised as a precautionary measure.
