Junglee Pictures and Ayushmann Khurrana are partnering again after their previous successes together, including the National Award winning film – Badhaai Ho.
After successful films together like Bareilley Ki Barfi and Badhaai Ho, the banner Junglee Pictures and actor Ayushmaan Khurrana are all set to work together again. Debutante Director, Anubhuti Kashyap is all geared up to direct Doctor G that is slated to be a campus comedy drama. Ayushman will be playing the lead role of Doctor G.
While talking about the film, the actor said how he fell in love with the script, and the super fresh ideas. He found it very innovative and unique and feels that it will make the audience laugh as well as give food for thought. He said he was thrilled to play a doctor for the first time in his career and also play a role that will be thought provoking for the audience. The enthusiastic director Anubhuti, while commenting on her first directorial venture said that she was thrilled to be working on this project and was very passionate about it. She was looking forward to working with the noted film banner and with the talented actor Ayushmaan.
The CEO of Junglee pictures, Amrita Pandey too commented on how thrilled and excited they were to work with the talented actor once again and also with the promising new Director. The script has been developed by writers Sumit, Saurabh, Vishal and Anubhuti. Anubhuti has directed Afsos ( Amazon Prime ) which is a dark comedy mini-series, and the widely appreciated short film ‘Moi Marjaani’.
Ayushmaan is hoping to create a hat-trick of hits with this third film of his with Junglee pictures. His earlier film Badhaai Ho with them won two National awards. It was released in the year 2018. Bareilley Ki Barfi released in 2017 also went on to win a lot of appreciation from the audience.
