After taking a decision on the suspension of the 3 farm laws, the Supreme Court is keen to resolve the deadlock in the negotiations. With this aim in mind a committee is being set up that will facilitate talks between the Central Government and the Farmers Unions. The bench was headed by the Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and the other members were Justices V Ramasubramanian and AS Bopanna.

The Supreme Court has also taken cognizance of the plea issued by the Delhi police to ask the agitating farmers not to go ahead with their tractor rally on the 26th of January 2021. The apex court has issued a notice to the agitating farmers to refrain from doing this.

While the farmers have welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court on the stay order of the 3 farm laws, they are also firm on their stance of not calling off the stir till all the 3 farm laws are withdrawn and repealed.
