Boss of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) & Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at BJP for mocking him for chanting Hanuman Chalisa & commenting on his visit to a Hanuman Temple ahead of Delhi’s polls.
The CM of Delhi had paid a visit ahead of Delhi elections to an ancient Hanuman Temple at Connaught place yesterday for offering his prayers. Soon after he visited the temple, the AAP leader tweeted, “Received the blessings from lord Hanuman at CP’s ancient Hanuman Temple. Prayed for Delhi and India’s progress. God said, ‘You are doing good work, continue to serve people like this. Leave the fruits (of hard work) to me. All will be well.”
BJP was quick to react on the same & tried to take a dig at the AAP leader for reciting Hanuman Chalisa on a TV channel. Though Kejriwal did not take any names, it is speculated that it was Manoj Tiwari (actor, singer & BJP MP) who passed snide remarks on the Delhi chief by posting a video of his where he is seen garlanding the deity with the same hands he removed his footwear & even called Kejriwal a ‘Nakli bhakt‘.
Reacting on the same Kejriwal came forward & lashed out at BJP for making fun of his visit to the temple & said, “Since the time I have recited the Hanuman Chalisa on a TV channel, BJP is mocking me constantly. Yesterday, I went to the Hanuman Temple. Today, BJP leaders are saying that the temple turned impure by my visit. What kind of politics is this? God is for everyone. Even for BJP. God bless everyone.”
On February, 4 Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath also took a dig at the Delhi chief during an election rally in Delhi where he said, “Now Arvind Kejriwal has started reciting the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’. In coming days, you will see Owaisi reciting the same. This will certainly happen.”
On the other side, Sanjay Singh, an AAP MP, came in support of Kejriwal & condemned Manoj Tiwari for passing such remarks & said that Tiwari couldn’t say anything worse. Singh further said, “You (BJP) are still in the era in which Dalits weren’t admitted inside temples. Even Lord Ram cannot save the BJP now.”
