Former BharatPe CEO Ashneer Grover Faces Legal Turmoil Over Alleged 81 Crore Fraud
Big news! The ex-CEO of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, is facing some serious problems. The police, known as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), say he might have done something really wrong. They accuse him of making up fake bills to take away a huge amount of money, a whopping Rs 81 crores, from BharatPe.
The police also say that Ashneer didn’t just stop at taking the money. They claim he used it to buy fancy things and houses. Now, he has to deal with a lot of legal issues.
This is not the first time Ashneer is in trouble. Another group called the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is already looking into whether he did some tricky stuff while running BharatPe. On top of that, people who invested money in the company are taking him to court, saying they lost money because of what he did.
