The shooting of Jugg Jugg Jeeyo commenced in November 2020 but had to be stalled because certain crew members including Varun Dhawan, Raj Mehta, and Neetu Kapoor tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The lead pair of the film is Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. The ensemble cast has Anil Kapoor, Prajkta Koli, and Neetu Kapoor among others. The lead pair is starring opposite each other for the first time. Albeit a bit long, the title has stirred a lot of interest in the public. This is normally a phrase used in Indian households where you want your kith and kin to fare well.

The last time Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were seen together was in the 2019 movie “Kalank” in a special dance number. Kiara though did not have a major role as compared to Varun in the film.’ Just going by the title this movie does sound like a family drama. Only time will tell, whether this conjecture proves to be correct. Reliable industry sources have however revealed that this film will deal with marital issues. The story is about two couples from different generations and the issues that they encounter post their marriage. The film is supposed to highlight issues like the generation gap, love, and other pertinent issues. The underlying theme is expected to be laced with a lot of humor.

Raj Mehta was associated with the comedy Good Newwz released earlier and which had a good dose of humor. It is said that Jugg Jugg Jeeyo is different in its’ narrative from Good Newwz. The storyline though centers around two couples as in the previous film but the treatment is different.

The shooting for this film was resumed in late December .
