The stage was all set for the Disha Patni and Shahid Kapoor starrer –Yoddha, but it is learned that Shahid is no longer doing the film. The reason attributed is the difference in creative opinions with the Director.
The team of Yoddha was in talks with Shahid Kapoor and shooting for the film was slated to begin in January 2021. The film was to have Shahid and Disha Patni as the lead stars. The latest news that has come to light however is that Shahid has walked out of the film. It is rumored that after the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid has been acting rather high handed and arrogant. This led to a lot of differences between the Director and the team of Yoddha. This on-going tussle finally led to Shahid’s decision of walking out and not doing the film. It is also said that Karan Johar could not make the announcement of Shahid’s association with the film, because the actor had not yet signed on the dotted line. The actor it is said has become very selective about his films recently and has also been having problems with giving date commitments. It is still not clear as to whether Karan Johar and Shashank will be speaking to Shahid to make him reconsider his decision or if they will be going ahead with another actor.
Meanwhile, Shahid and Vijay Setupathi are scheduled to be shooting a new digital series in Mumbai and Goa, which has a yet to be announced title. This series has been planned as a trilogy and will be shot over the next couple of months. Shahid will be entering the digital medium through this Amazon Prime Original series. This series will be directed by DK and Raj.
The actor recently raised a stir on Instagram by posting a monochrome picture of his. His wife Mira Rajput too immediately posted a similar one copying his style, and fans had a treat as they compared who looked better.
