In the day and age of advanced technology and the current phase of social distancing and stay indoors order, a novel digital live concert is being telecast on the 10th, 11th and 12th of April from 8 pm – 9 pm. This is being streamed live on Doordarshan and includes many other many platforms. It is available on OTT and D2H platforms including Vodafone Play, MX player, JioTV, Idea TV, Tata Sky, Hotstar and includes other digital portals too.
This initiative by ISRA (Indian Singers Rights Association) features renowned singers – Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosale, SP Balasubramanium, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Suresh Wadkar, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sudesh Bhosale,Hariharan, Yesudas, Salim Merchant, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Anup Jalota, Sonu Nigam, Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz and Kailash Kher.
Sanjay Tandon- CEO of ISRA mentioned that musical initiative was thought of by keeping in mind the current stress and depression associated with the Coronavirus pandemic and how it would prove beneficial in lightening the mood of the masses. He thanked the artists for readily joining in this noble cause and also thanked XP &D Be. Live and MPC for partnering with them.
The digital portals to stream this will include Flipkart, Hungama, PayTM, Daily Hunt and Hello.
The nightingale of India – Lata Mangeshkar supported this initiative in a tweet to the nation and hoped that people would enjoy this. PM Modi through his tweet has lauded this gesture by all the artists and ISRA and has said that it will definitely be a treat to watch and listen to.
In a world connected by social media, the singers took to their social media handles and spoke about this initiative and their happiness to be associated with it.
