Ahmed Khan, the Director of Baaghi 3 in a quick reversal of his earlier statement calling Manikarnika Kangana’s film a flop said Kanagana Ranaut was in fact a “Hero of Bollywood ” and he was keen to work with her.
RangoliChandel, Kangana’s sister and manager who is very active on social media stood up in defence of her sister and tweeted
“ Sochkarbhidarrlagtahai agar Manikarnikaitni successful nahotitohyeh Bollywood vultures kyakarteKanganakesaath, she really loves to live on the edge, just when you think she is gone she rises like a Phoenix.”
Ahmed Khan had earlier said “ The Queen Of Jhansi was a flop “ and her upcoming film Dhakkad was shelved because of the financial losses incurred by the makers. In a recent interview with Navbharat Times he changed his stance and praised Kangana a lot, even expressing his desire to work with her.
He went on to say “Kangana is the female Baaghi, the hero of Bollywood, and the only girl who can pull off an action film. I really liked Dhakkad teaser and got gooseflesh while watching it. She is a brilliant and powerful actor. If she approves my script, I will definitely work with her” he said.
After this interview and what Ahmed Khan had said about Kangana, RangoliChandel her sister was quick to tweet
“Yehdekho Ahmed Khan jibhi line peaagaye, maafibhimangiaurKanganako film industry and sabsebadaBaaghibhikaha, Dhakaadkitarif and all, sab interest kesaathvasoolhogaya… very good.”
Ahmed Khan in an earlier interview had expressed his reluctance to make women led films saying that they did not do well at the box office. The statement of Ahmed Khan sating Dhakkad was shelved was contradicted by the Director and Producer who went on to tweet that the film was not shelved but happening .
Ahmed Khan’s latest statements praising Kangana seem to have gone down well with Rangoli, who as her tweets show is not as agitated with Ahmed Khan as she was earlier after he had called Manikarnika a flop but is okay now that Amhed Khan has praised Kangana and expressed his interest in working with her.
