After singer Kanika Kapoor’s fifth test proved to be COVID – 19 negative and Bollywood was just beginning to heave a sigh of relief a new case causing concern has sprung up recently. The daughter of Karim Morani, producer of the hit film Chennai Express has tested positive for the dreaded disease. Shaza has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital and the other family members are practising self- isolation and will be tested for the novel coronavirus disease shortly.
It is learnt from industry sources that Karim Morani is a close friend of actor Shah Rukh Khan. His daughter Shaza had worked as an assistant director in films like “ Happy New Year “ and “ Always Kabhi Kabhi “ whereas father Morani has produced films like “ Ra.One “ “ Happy New Year “ “ Chennai Express” and “ Dilwale .“ While these films added to his popularity and name he also got a lot of negative publicity when in the past, his name was associated with certain scams.
Bollywood and other celebrities have been supporting the current 21 day lock down initiative by practising social distancing and staying confined to their homes. They have at the same time posting pictures, videos and messages on their social media to inspire and motivate millions of their fans.
