It has indeed been quite a historic day for Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal as they have scored a trumping win over the BJP.

Aam Aadmi Party won as many as 62 seats in the Delhi election while BJP only got 8 seats. On the other hand, congress didn’t even open its account.

Unlike in the state assembly of 2015, Arvind Kejriwal was more sought of a politician rather than just an activist.

Deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia was trailing in the earlier stages but later on the day he peaked and won the seat by a margin of over 3,000 votes.

Also, the matter of fact is that all the big names of the Aam Aadmi Party such as Atishi Marlena, Raghav Chadha, Sourabh Bharadwaj and Gopal Rai managed to win their seat in their region.

What came as a shocker that BJP could hold only just 8 seats after holding such a vitriolic campaign where the union minister even called Arvind Kejriwal as a terrorist.

The only positive thing from the Delhi election in the favour of BJP was the increase of the vote share to 38% which was largely because of the fall of the vote share of the congress which went down to below 5 %.

On the day of Delhi election, the voter turnout was 62.59% as per the data given by election commission.

To conclude, we hope that Aam Aadmi party would be able to maintain the faith that people of Delhi has shown in them for the third time.

On the other hand, BJP needs to figure out the things that went wrong and why they are not able to connect with the people of Delhi after losing the Delhi election 5 times in a row.
